Imphal, January 10: Stating that Ningthoujam Chaoba alias Thengra (28) s/o N Yaima of Nongmaikhong Mayai Leikai shot dead by some gun men on December 30 last near Kakching Khunou bridge under Waikhong police station was a dedicated member of the PREPAK, the outfit and its Red Army have offered revolutionary salute of highest order to the deceased comrade.

A statement issued by the proscribed PREPAK's Department of Publicity and Propaganda (Chinglemba Mangang) disclosed that comrade Chaoba alias Thengra was taking shelter at a home in Imphal when he was betrayed by his hosts to adversaries who later shot him dead.

While strongly condemning the cold blooded murder, the outfit maintained that it has been strictly abiding by the principle of not indulging in any internal feud in the wake of the turmoil besetting the PREPAK.

"People is the souls of revolutionary organisations.

People is the body of revolutionaries and it is against the interest of both the people and revolutionary organisations to indulge in any feud or fraternal killings", it observed.

Noting that the people has been calling to put an end to any fraternal killing, the outfit maintained that it cannot tolerate the killing of its comrade in cold blood in total disregard to the appeal of the people and other revolutionary organisations against such feud.

On the other hand, Ningthoujam Ingocha (27) s/o N Biramangol of Nongmaikhong Mayai Leikai shot dead together with comrade Thengra was an innocent civilian.

He was not related with the party in any manner.

The party is deeply concerned with such remorseless act of killing an innocent civilian by taking advantage of the turmoil within PREPAK, it said while sharing the pain and grief being endured by the bereaved families.
