Imphal, February 07: Mounting a scathing attack on the Congress led SPF Government today, BJP president Venkaiah Naidu said that there is no sign of governance and predicted that the Congress would be shown the doors by the voters.

Addressing a press conference at the party office later during the day before wrapping up his two-day visit to the State, Naidu said there is no sign of any governance and people would surely reject the Congress led Secular Progressive Front (SPF) Government in the ensuing Assembly polls.

Since the Congress has betrayed the people we want a non-Congress Government, Naidu said.

Continuing his attack on the SPF Government, Naidu said, Law and order situation has collapsed.

There is fear psychosis among the people.

Imphal town where the CM is living has become a big dustbin and it seems there is no Municipal institution.

I have never visited such a neglected town.

Garbage is littered everywhere here.

I would say that the Okram Ibobi Singh Governments performance is totally abysmal", he declared.

While pointing out that there have been serious charges against Ibobi Singh and his Ministers on swindling funds released by the Centre and surrendering the developmental fund to underground organisations, Naidu said, the Chief Minister is still keeping mum on it but most of the Ministers are buying palatial buildings outside the State and they are turning a deaf ear to the plights of the common people.

Reacting to AICC president Sonia Gandhis remarks during a recent rally in the State that the UPA Government was looking seriously to repeal the controversial Armed Forces (Special Powers) Act, the BJP leader ridiculed it and questioned, how come the AICC leader made such a statement when the Prime Minister is silent on the matter.

This really means that the Prime minister has no power, he said and mockingly said that there are many PMs in the country - Sonia, Manmohan and the Left parties.

Everything is messed up and now UPA has literally become DPA (Divided Political Alliance), he said.

Commenting on the poll scenario, Naidu expressed confidence that BJP would emerge successful while the Congress will suffer a major setback.

Pointing out that there have been many attacks by terrorists at various logistic institutions of the country and that the UPA Government has not been able to come up with a clue to address the issue , Naidu cited the terror attack at Iskcon temple at Imphal on Janmasthami day last year as one such case.
