NIPCO shocked over move to balkanize Manipur

Imphal, October 01: The National Identity Protection Committee (NIPCO) today expressed shock over the reported statement of K Padmanabhaiah that a Committee will be formed to discuss about charting out a new boundary for Nagaland which may include Ukhrul and Senapati districts of Manipur as reported in the Times of India today.

Bharali Jain reported that Tirap of Arunachal Pradesh may also be considered.

It reminded that 18 lives had given up their lives on 18 June, 2001 to save the territorial integrity of Manipur it reminded.

It also reminded of the Solidarity and Integrity day observed on September 28 organized by AMKIL and NIPCO.

NIPCO is not against the move to bring peace at Nagaland but it will oppose tooth and nail any move to balkanize Manipur it pointed out.
