Imphal, October 16: Various social organizations in Nagaland have expressed regret the way the UCM led mass agitations in Imphal have been carried out in protest against the release of NSCN-IM leaders by the Govt after being arrested by Manipur Police.

The South Nagas Union of Nagaland State (SNUNS) has termed the UCM as immature and not reasonable saying that since the peace-talks between the Govt of India and the NSCN-IM are going on, it would be beyond the human ethics to arrest each other while the talks are going on.

The Tenyimi central Union has been bewildered at the wisdom of the UCM and AMSU and other Social organization who are involved in the protest against the release of the NSCN-IM leaders.

The TCU expressed its gratitude to the SPF Govt of Manipur.

The Zeme Council North East India (ZC-NEI) has questioned Manipur Chief Minister O Ibobi Singh, for his alleged contradictory statement before the media persons that the NSCN-IM leaders were released under Central Govt pressures particularly Home Minister LK Advani.

The Zeme Council said that had not the Central Govt or LK Advani's intervention, what was O Ibobi intending to do with the arrested NSCN-IM leaders.
