Imphal, March 12: Regional political parties which will be contesting in the upcoming Lok Sabha election without the BJP is leaving no stones unturned to project a consensus candidate for the upcoming polls which has been scheduled in April, disclosed Federal Party of Manipur vice president Prof Gangumei Kamei.

Expressing hope that the DRPP and MNC may support the FPM candidate in the upcoming Lok Sabha polls, Gangumei said that the Opposition DPA will still remain united in the Assembly despite the BJP's decision to contest the Lok Sabha polls alone.

He also added that the FPM party has already passed a resolution for nominating Dr L Chandramani as the FPM's candidate for the inner parliamentary seat.
