Imphal, August 11 2010: Transporters' and Drivers' Council (TDC) has said that Director General of Police, DGP has arranged for a special escort tomorrow for trucks, oil tankers and LPG bullet trucks to proceed on NH 53 to transport F C I rice, I O C fuel and L P G cylinders.

In a press release , General Secretary, TDC Ng Haridas announced that all arrangement has been made for oil takers, trucks, LPG bullet tankers to proceed on NH 53 and has informed the vehicle owners to send their vehicles early at K Nilo oil pump.

TDC has also appealed to the contractors engaged in improvement works on NH 53 to speed up their works as the rain have stopped.

The TDC reiterated its stand that it would not be responsible for any untoward incidents caused to vehicles plying in NH 39 .
