FRIENDS' photo exhibition begins

Imphal, July 10 2010: Federation of Regional Indigenous Societies (FRIENDS) has begun photo exhibition on the human rights violation by NSCN (IM) in Manipur at Press Club, Major Khun, Imphal today.

Inaugurating the photo exhibition on the theme Preserve Human Rights, former minister Dr Nara put the need of preserving human right for all.

Photos on various human right violation acts committed by NSCN (IM) against KUKIs during NagaKuki conflict, torture and killings continuing in the national highway 39 and brutal killing of SDO Dr Kishan, etc are put up in the exhibition for public view.

President, FRIENDS, S Jadumani alleged that NSCN (IM) collects illegal tax on vehicles of Manipur plying in NH 39 to the tune of rupees 20 lakhs daily and he also alleged that after collecting huge amount of money illegally they are pumping money in media campaign at different places to justify their criminal acts and pursuing campaign for feeding wrong information about the history of Manipur to outsiders.
