Imphal, March 05: With the Apunba Lup, a conglomorate of 32 different groups, formed in the aftermath of the custodial killing of Thangjam Manorama and spearheaded the subsequent public agitation demanding repealing of AFSPA, 1958 having extended its support, the JAC Against the Torture and Detention of M Naobi Devi has announced its decision to intensify the ongoing stir for punishment of the guilty police commandos.

The further course of agitation to be taken up has been charted out during the course of a joint meeting of civil societies, human rights activists and student bodies today, informed co-convenor of the JAC B Kamala Devi in a statement.

Accordingly, mass sit in protest demonstration would be staged at different places tomorrow and students would wear black badges in protest, the co-convenor disclosed.

While seeking the support and co-operation of all the people, the co-convenor further informed that slogans to be used during the protest demonstration would be ' Resign CM and his Council of Ministers immediately, ' Punish Commandos involved in torturing Naobi' and 'Terminate CJM Thoubal Mrs Kim who fails to do justice from service at once'.
