Imphal, March 27: Blowing the trumpet on the achievements of BJP led NDA Government at the Centre, party unit of the State has appealed to the people to reserve their precious vote for BJP and not to waste it on any other political parties.

Party spokesperson Chongtham Bijoy Singh, in a statement claimed that BJP-led NDA Government at the Centre during its short rule of five years has not only saved the country from possible devastation by earlier Governments but has also put the country on the right track to become a super power by 2020.For over 50 years, when Congress party was in power both at the Centre as well as at States, corruption, red-tapism and favoritism have almost become a common norm and culture of the country.

The prestige and reputation of India in the world community was at such a low that the word 'Made in India' was used as a derogatory term to describe the quality of the products of the lowest standard, the spokesman said.

Moreover, the economic condition of the country had been so poor that reserved gold of Reserve Bank of India had to be mortgaged in 1992 and the visit of Indian leaders to any foreign country was construed as begging for fund.

However, all these have changed under the leadership of Atal Bihari Vajpayee.

Today the world has sit up and take notice of the economic stride being made in India with awe and all the countries have started regarding India as one of the formidable economic powers apart from the fact that the wind of all round well being is being felt by all the citizens of the country, the BJP spokesperson said.

Mocking at the alliance between the Congress and the Communist, the spokesperson further elucidated that the ideology of the Communist include setting up of a Government of the working class people by toppling any power which was in power and consider nationalism as its avowed enemy.

It is on this account that CPI has been hell bent on forming unholy alliance with the Congress which had almost ransomed the country, the spokesperson said, maintaining that the same is true for Manipur situation too where Congress and Communist, the two main constituents of the ruling SPF Government have made it immune to the cries of the people for social security and better life-style.

One of the Minister of CPI in the ruling SPF Minister is also responsible for denial of rice, kerosene and other essential commodities to the poor people of the State supposed to be distributed under its Public Distribution System.

In connection with the coming Lok Sabha election, the issues to be taken up by BJP are far ahead of Congress and Communist and the two parties have no scope of winning in the election as it had also been noticed from the results of the election held in five States recently, the spokesperson said, appealing to the people not to waste their valuable votes in casting them for other parties but BJP.
