Imphal, May 23: Newly elected Congress MP Dr T Meinya today said with an air of confidence that his name would surely be included in the upcoming expansion of the Union Ministry even though his name was not included in the recent formation of the Union Council of Ministers.

Speaking to The Sangai Express this afternoon on his return from New Delhi, Dr Meinya informed that strong pressures are being exerted on the Congress leaders at the Centre by the MPCC and SPF Ministers to allot him a berth in the Ministry.

Informing that many of the Congress MPs who held Ministerial posts in their respective States have begun relinquishing their posts after being inducted in the newly formed Union Council of Ministers, MP Meinya added that he would be leaving the State soon after relinquishing his post of Higher and Technical Education Minister to attend the oath taking ceremony of the new Speaker which will be held before the Parliament session which begins from June 2.
