Young Horizon marchers reach Saikhom Leikai

Imphal, March 13: Marchers of Young Horizon Manipur who have taking the message of love, peace and unity to different places of the North East region reached Saikhom Leikai in Barak Valley today on the 43rd day of the march.

This morning the marchers arrived at Bon Tarapur, Barak Valley where they were accorded a warm welcome by the local people.

During the reception function, titular king Leishemba Sanajaoba noted that the Barak Valley can never be separated from the history of Manipur.

He also recalled of the organisation of Manipur Levy by princes Gambhir Singh and Narsingh from Manipuri settlement areas of Barak Valley during the Seven Years' Devastation.

Comparing the Young Horizon marchers to second Manipur Levy, Sanajaoba exhorted all not to allow a second devastation.

He prayed that the Young Horizon's march may bring unity not only among the Manipuris but also among the Mongoloid people of the whole North East region.

After a farewell function at Lakhipur on March 16, the marchers will head for Manipur valley through Jiribam.
