Imphal, October 12: Reacting strongly against the State Government's immature handling of the MBBS/BDS and separate Directorate of Education (Hills) issues, the All Tribal Students Union Manipur has appealed to the State Government to work out a solution before October 14 failing which the union will be constrained to take up various forms of agitation, said a press release.

Recalling that the ATSUM and the State Government had signed an MoU on the two issues, by which the State Government had assured to solve the MBBS/BDS issue before October 14 and Hills Directorate problem before Oct 31, the release stated that Union is prepared to go to any length to protect and safeguard the rights of the tribal students community which is non negotiable.

Laws and rules are made for the good of the people but if some laws discriminate certain sections of the people the Government should not hesitate to rectify it, added the release.
