KNF washes hands off kidnapping

Imphal, November 06: The Kuki National Front (KNF) has today clarified that its cadres were not responsible for the kidnapping of GAD Minister Francis Ngajokpa's daughter Lungleila Elizabeth from the premises of Little Flower School on Nov 4.In a statement, KNF Publicity Chief LH Stephen reiterated that KNF was not at all involved in the kidnapping of the young girl and added that the abductors must have been members of a gang posing as KNF cadres in order to tarnish the image of the Front.

Informing that the KNF cadres have been hot on the trail of these gangsters with an aim to to eliminate them, Stephen said that two of the gangsters have already been eliminated in the recent past for carrying out anti party activities and added that KNF had already warned all the gang members to surrender to the party within a definite period.

KNF will not rest until unless all the gang members are caught and punish for their unlawful activities, added Stephen Kuki.

Stephen Kuki while strongly condemning the kidnapping of Nungleila also appealed to kidnappers to release the young girl immediately without any conditions.

Another statement issued by Asst Information and Publicity KNF Issak Kuki today has also clarified that the Front had no hands in the kidnapping of Nungleila.

The Front has been trying to catch the gang members who are involved in kidnapping for ransom, said the statement.
