Imphal, February 24: The former chief minister RK Dorendro and state BJP chief Meinam Bhorot, both of whom were declared elected today in their respective constituencies, have both affirmed that a coalition government is the likeliest possibility in the State.

Another victor, Manipur Peoples Party chief Okram Joy, claimed that he did not spend any money for the elections, and the credit goes to the people of the constituency for electing him.

While promising a stable government, he said he would fight to protect Manipurs integrity, and to resolve the problems of development and finances.

Longtime Congressman Yumkham Erabot, who won from Wangkhei constituency on an MSCP ticket, observed that though he had won elections twice on the Congress ticket, he decided to jump to another party because the people did not want the Congress party.
