Imphal, April 16: Setting a 24 hour deadline from 6 am of April 17 for all BJP members to surrender to them, the proscribed KYKL today claimed responsibility for the attack on the residences of MLA Radhakishor, former candidate in Bishnupur AC Ningthoujam Sanajaoba and the shooting on the leg of Heirok BJP Mandal president Ningthoujam Angangjaoba (35) on April 13.The outfit also claimed that it shot State BJP councillor Sagolsem Ibochoubi (55) of Langathen yesterday.

In a statement issued to the press today, KYKL said that if the BJP members do not come around within the time frame set then they should be ready to face the consequences.

On the attack on the residence of MLA Radhakishor, the outfit said that though he is a Congress MLA, he has been clandestinely supporting the BJP.

The MLA may lie and cheat others but he can never cheat himself, said the statement.

KYKL also made it clear that the attack on the residences of Radhakishor and N Sanajaoba were not meant to hurt anyone but were just a warning to distance themselves from the BJP.

If the KYKL had wanted, then they could have inflicted heavy casualties.

Within a short period, the KYKL has been able to establish who has been working with BJP president Th Chaoba against the interest of the outfit, claimed the statement and added that time alone will tell what type of punishment such elements will receive.

They should not live under the illusion that the present security provided to them will be able to protect them from the KYKL forever.

Setting the record straight, KYKL said that Mani, Angangjaoba and Ibochoubi were punished as they were working for the BJP which was in defiance of the diktats spelt out by the outfit, explained the statement.

According to the stand taken by KYKL earlier, the three could have been awarded capital punishment but the outfit stopped short as it does not want to make sacrificial lambs of anyone for Th Chaoba.

In no uncertain terms, KYKL warned that in future anyone found associated with the BJP will be given capital punishment.

KYKL made it clear that the course of action initiated against the BJP is not in any way connected with the upcoming election.

The BJP is being targeted today because it has given shelter to Th Chaoba who is nothing but an enemy of the people, claimed KYKL.

The only issue at hand is whether the BJP will expel Th Chaoba from the party or not.

As the BJP has opposed the stand of the outfit with regard to Th Chaoba, KYKL will see to it that the party is uprooted and dispelled from the land of Manipur forever, said the statement.

As such KYKL will now start attacking the BJP from all angles.

However as KYKL does not want to eliminate anyone on the basis of Th Chaoba, KYKL has asked all to distance themselves from the party for their own good.

KYKL knows who is working hand in gloves with Th Chaoba against the outfit, said the statement.
