Imphal, October 11: Accusing all the SPF Ministers of being party to the divisive forces trying to create disunity and dismember Manipur, women's wing of Manipur Peoples' Party has demanded the resignation of all the Ministers.

In a statement, general secretary of Chanura Marup, MPP T Leinatombi Devi decried the endorsement of the Cabinet to release the 13 NSCN (I-M) leaders and said people would have hailed the Ministers if they had taken a resolution to the effect of not allowing organizing public meetings at the hill districts called by the NSCN (I-M) instead.

But the decision of the Cabinet endorsing its earlier resolution to release all the 13 armed NSCN (I-M) leaders who sneaked into the territory of Manipur with their sinister plan of disintegrating Manipur is very unfortunate and would only add fuel to the already charged emotion of the people of the State, the statement said.

The statement also announced its avowed stand of support any agitation of the people for safeguarding the territorial integrity of Manipur.

Meanwhile, various organizations have announced their decisions to support the torch rally being organized by Manipur Forward Youth Front (MAFYF) on the night of October 15.Maintaining that the stand of the MAFYF for demanding restoration of pre-merger status in response to the move of disintegrate Manipur was right and in the interest of the people, Young Learners' Library and Leading Organization, Keibi; Lamlai Kendra Students' Union; Resplendent Idea of Ascent Guild Organization, Keibi Heikakmapal; Social Amity, Integrity and Prosperity Organization, Heikakmapal Awang Leikai; Lamshang Youth League, Tharoijam Imphal West; Keibi Makha Leikai Chaokhat Khongthang Lup and Eastern Lion Club, Nongada, in separate press releases, have extended their support and co-operation to the proposed torch rally.
