Imphal, July 10: The proscribed PREPAK has clarified that it is in no way involved/connected in the kidnapping of two boys of tender age hailing from Iroisemba area in Imphal West district.

While strongly condemning those individuals or organisations involved in the kidnapping and subsequent detention of Angom Langamba alias Abungo (11) and Yengkhom Naobi (13) since July 6, a statement issued by secretary in-charge of the outfit's department of publicity and propaganda Konthoujam Chingkhei Meetei reiterated that the incident is not related with the Chinglemba Mangang group of PREPAK.

Asserting that PREPAK had neither recruited under-age children as it cadres nor would it resort to such recruitment that violates international norms, Ching-khei conveyed that PREPAK is rather committed in grooming children for the betterment of future generation.

PREPAK also affirmed it would take all necessary means and resources to trace and rescue the missing children.
