Imphal, September 09, 2009: Academic activities in the valley districts were severely affected as the AMSU-sponsored indefinite class boycott call against the July 23 BT Road incident came into effect from today.

With majority of the students not attending schools and colleges, coupled with insignificant number of students, nevertheless showing up at their respective institutions to check impact of the agitation conducting class was out of the question.

The agitation call is a part of the ongoing movement to denounce the BT road firing during which two persons got killed and five others were wounded.
