Imphal, August 09: Flatly rejecting the allegation that its five cadres nabbed by local people of Nambol Khabi and surrounding villages yesterday and later handed over to police were attempting to kidnap children, the proscribed KCP (MC) has come up with a clarification.

According to a press release issued by the outfit's propaganda, communication and technical officer Tamnganba Meetei, the five cadres were on a move from one camp to another.

However, due to the bandh imposed yesterday, the cadres encountered certain difficulties in their movement.

As such, they went to a house at Konthoujam and requested for food and to charge their mobile phone handsets.

Even as the cadres identified themselves, the owner of the house reportedly used abusive words following which the cadres left.

As they were considering which way to go, they were suddenly pursued by a large number of people.

Even as they identified themselves as cadres of KCP (MC), the crowd not only thrashed them but handed them over to police.

Asserting that no revolutionary organisation can remain silent to such excesses, the outfit claimed that it has investigated the matter and identified the individuals who resorted to extreme steps.

Challenging the Meira Paibis and local club volunteers of Nambol Khabi, Khaidem, Khabam Bamdiar, Heikrujam and Konthoujam to come up with concrete evidence that its five victimised cadres were kidnapping children, it warned that they will be awarded befitting punishment in case they fail to come up with a concrete proof.

There is no post of secretary military affairs in KCP (MC), Tamnganba asserted while contending that the public and the party would not listen to the statements of alleged self styled Lanheiba.

Informing that the party would boycott Independence Day, it appealed to the participate in the Independence Day celebrations.

The spot is also not far from the student's home.

As Samulailatpam Denison (reading in class IV) was coming back home using short-cuts, some individuals jumped out from an open white Maruti van and caught him.
