Imphal, August 02: Under the joint aegis of AMSU, DESAM and MSF widespread sit-in-protests, particularly in the valley areas, were staged today to denounce the alleged communal politics and failure of Central and State Governments to resolve the economic blockade impasse.

On the second day of the protest today, students of GP Women’s College, TG Higher Secondary School and 1st Manipur Rifles School who converged at the Jailroad Road street-side attempted to use loud-speakers during the agitation but security personnel present at the site foiled it.
