Imphal, July 27 2009: A non local grocer has been shot and injured by unidentified armed persons this evening at Sawombung Khunjao.

The injured victim has been identified as Laldev (45), a native of Bihar.

He was shot inside his grocery shop at about 5.30 pm by three unidentified persons.

A bullet which hit him at the right cheek exited through the back-head.

He has been admitted at RIMS, informed a police source.

Although a native of Bihar, Laldev has been liv ing at Sawombung Khunjao for the last 30 years.

He is married to a Rongmei woman.

Laldev hails from Fatehpur district of Bihar.
