Imphal, May 27 2010: Participated by around 1700 people belonging 11 different communities living in Karbi Anglong district of Assam, a mass peace rally was taken out from Hari Mandap of Amrajan to SDO Civil office at CCI.

Organised jointly by Meira Paibis of Bokajan and Manipuri (Meetei) Cultural Academy, representatives of Ima Meira Paibi Apunba Lup, Karbi Anglong Meitei Association, All Assam Manipuri Students' Union, Karbi Cultural Society, Karbi Anglong Manipuri Cultural Association, All Assam Gorkha Students' Union, All Assam Students' Union, Assam Jatiyalavidi Judo Chhatra Parishad, Assam Tea Tribals Students' Association, Gorkha Seva Sangha, All Assam Bengali Students & Youth Federation, etc also participated in the rally.

After a rally a public meeting was held during which it was resolved that NSCN (IM) general secretary Th Muivah should never be allowed to visit Manipur.

Demanding lifting of the economic blockade along the National Highways passing through Manipur, the meeting also warned of imposing counter blockade is the economic blockade is not lifted.

Calling upon the Government of India to resolve the ongoing crisis in Manipur without any partiality, the meeting further resolved that no one should encourage Muivah in his attempt to disintegrate the North Eastern States.
