Imphal, May 12 2010: Highlighting various pressing issues such as threat to Manipur's integrity, failure to maintain law and order, price hike and prolonged economic blockade on National Highways, a protest demonstration was staged in front of MPP office here under the aegis of the regional political outfit.

The protest demonstration resolved that criminal underground leader Thuingaleng Muivah should not be allowed to enter Manipur, the Centre and the State Government should work out to ensure availability of essential commodities which are in shortage in the State due to ongoing economic blockade and a solution should be brought to the employees' strike.

It also decided to urge upon the Government of India to retract its decision of allowing Muivah's entry to Manipur.

Speaking at the protest site, MLA O Joy hailed the Cabinet decision.

He cautioned that the State Government should not even think of reviewing the Cabinet decision else Manipur would break up.

To safeguard the integrity of Manipur, MPP would shed blood, if necessary, Joy said.
