Bishnupur, August 12 2009: Effigy of Chief Minister O Ibobi was set on fire today by protestors against the Khwairamband fake encounter incident of July 23 at Kumbi in Bishnupur district.

The demonstration was held under the aegis of Apunba Nupi Lup, Kumbi Unit.

Protesters also shouted slogans like 'we condemn shooting at crowded places,' 'remove AFSPA immediately,' 'punish the guilty immediately,' 'we don't like SPF government,' 'remove Ibobi from his CM post,' etc.

The protestors have also pledged to support any agitation launched by the Apunba Lup.
