Respect culture and tradition of other communities for harmony, Sanajaoba

Imphal, April 26 2009: THE TITULAR king of Manipur Sanjaoba today said that the brewing hatreds among the different communities residing in the state could be eased only when culture and tradition of a community is respected others.

The titular king was speaking at a discussion session with the theme, "Peace and Harmony" organized by the All Manipur Arts and Culture and Sports Development Society (AMACSDS) in connection with its third annual award distribution held at RC Memorial Central School, Khurai Khumidhong Mayai Leikai today.

The function was presided by president of the AMACSDS, Md Habibulah was graced by titular king Sanajaoba as chief guest.

Rural development minister, Md Allauddin, SP, Imphal east, Th Radeshyam and president of the All Manipur Jamdin Ullabi, Mv Abdul Gaffer also attended as guest of honours at the function.

Giving his speech as chief guest, Sanajaoba said in the early period, there were no question of suppressing culture and tradition of smaller communities by larger community.

In the state, hatreds among the different communities are erupting like fire.

The only way to ease this situation is to respect culture and tradition of a community by others.

Speaking as guest of honour SP, Th Radeshyam said the society is going ahead with no direction.

People are seems to be leading a life without ambition.

In such situation, there is no possibility of leading a peaceful and happy life.

To order to bring the society in the right direction, honest is the best tool.

When one is honest to do, there is a lot of thing he can do, Radeshyam added.

On the occasion, film actor, actress, singer,Muslim culture activists and many other persons in the fields of sports and other were also awarded on the occasion.
