Imphal, April 19 2009: Women volunteers of All Manipur Ethical Socio Cultural Organisation (AMESCO) today offered gifts with cloths to the ethnic brothers to mark the Manipuri New Years with a function held at Keithelmanbi Community Hall.

AMESCO organized the function with an objective of strengthening the emotional love bond between the hills and valley people based on brotherhood.

President of the Poirei Leimarol Meira Paibi Apunba Manipur president Memchoubi, AMSECO vice president IB Luwang, chairman of the Mapou Keithelmanbi Shailei, chief of the Happy Valley and many others attended the function.

Speaking on the occasion, Thangkhosei Vaiphei said, people living in the hills of the state are called Chingmi while those living in the valley area are call tammi.

There is no different between them.

"We are the sons of a mother".

Memchoubi said when the people irrespective of caste, creed co-operate each others at misfortunes as well as happiness, peace and tranquility and development will come to the state.

Shelun Guite said so long as there is division of Naga, Kuki and Meetei, the state can not march ahead with development.
