Ukhrul, July 27 2009: Manipur Electricity Union (MEU) Ukhrul unit has strongly condemned the act of triggering explosion at the private residence of Electricity Department EE, L Pamching on July 25 at around 1-0:20 pm by some unidentified persons.

MEU president Aphui Susa said that the incident was an act of cowardice carried out by some anti-social elements who do not have any ideology, principle and vision but digging their own trap by penetrating to the peaceful social fabric as a virus to the software of social harmony.

The president demanded the perpetrators to clarify on the reason behind such dastardly act spread ing fear psychosis to the children to come clean within three days failing of which the union would take up its own course of action in an eanest form and also appeal the concerned authority to book the culprit at the earliest so that the incident should not recur in future.

On the night of July 25, miscreants exploded bombs at two different places, one at Zonal Education Office at Phungreitang and another at the residence of Electricity Department, Ukhrul division Executive Engineer L Pamching at Hamleikhongat 10:20 pm.

However, there was no report of any human casualty caused by the blast on both the incidents.

Official sources in formed that the bombs used by the miscreant were suspected to be a local made which have high density of sound with low effects.
