Imphal, April 21 2009: SHAJIBU KHUDOL Tamba, a traditional occasion wherein women from the plain present shawl (phanek) to married women of the hills, was held today at Chakpikarong Rungrang village in Chandel district under the aegis of All Manipur Ethnical Socio-Cultural Organisation (AMESCO) .

The event was attended by the vice-president of AMESCO LB Luwang, Chief of Khangshu village BD Bono, Khubong Khunou Chief SP Raling Hing, president of Chief Association of Chakpi Area NL Wangam, president of Nisa Bandh Chakpi area L Angthing and President of Ching-tam Peace Committee Bijoy Khaidem.
