Imphal, June 01 2009: Security personnel have beaten up a 13 year old student who came to participate in the observation of "The Great June Uprising" at Kekrupat today at Singjamei Super Market.

The beating up Md Heffajuddin (13) a student near Singjamei Super Market alleging him to be an activist of PULF, the Popular Front of India (PFI) today strongly condemning the act of the state security forces demanded the state government to punish the personnel involved.

A statement of the PFI stated that the state security personnel beat him when he came to participate the Great June Uprising programme organized by the UCM at Kekrupat with other members of PFI.

On reaching Singjamei Super Market, the personnel stopped them and began to beat the victim alleging him to be a member of PULF.

Alleging the state government over its negligence in such daily happening, the PFI demanded the state government to book the involved personnel.

If the state government failed to take up necessary action against the involved personnel threatening that PFI will carry on agitation if action is not taken up against the erring personnel.
