Imphal, June 08 2010: A Nagaland-bound oil tanker was reportedly set aflame at Gholaghat in Assam, in the wee hours of today.

It may be recalled here that another truck carrying motor cycles and bound for Dimapur had also been set on fire at the same area some days earlier.

On the other hand, another Nagaland bound truck laden with essential commodities was reportedly overturned by unidentified persons at Amarjan in Assam today afternoon.

Located in Karbi-Anglong district of Assam, Amarjan is located along the National Highway 39 .

On the other hand unidentified armed persons set on fire a Tata Magic van at Lilong in Thoubal district at around 7.45 pm yesterday.

According to police report, before setting it on fire, the Tata Magic van (bearing registration number MN-01W/1641) plying between Imphal and Wanging was hijacked by the armed persons from Lilong Usoipokpi along National Highway 39 (Imphal-Moreh Road) .

The van was forced to be driven along the IVR popularly known as Kaleikhong, not far from Usoipokpi before it was set on fire.
