Imphal, August 06 2009: Poster campaign using the photograph-sequence of event on the killing of Ch.

Sanjit in a fake encounter has started in continuation of the agitation by the joint action committee (JAC) against the killing of Ch.

Sanjit of Khuria Sajor Leikai, Imphal East district.

The posters were pasted on walls on Thursday morning during the curfew relaxation period.

The posters show 11 photographs showing how Sanjit was surrounded by police commandos without any sign of resistance, how he was pushed and pulled inside a pharmacy and his dead body being carried out on the pretext of being killed in an encounter.

The JAC is demanding the resignation of the chief minister and the dismissal of the police commandos involved in the incident and their life imprisonment saying that on the basis of these photographs the police commandos are beyond doubt guilty of killing Ch.

Sanjit in a fake encounter and there is no need for any inquiry as these photographs tell the whole story quite vividly.
