Imphal, June 08 2010: Appealing to the Government of Manipur and the authority concerned to repeal the Wanted tag put on the Acting Presidents of ANSAM and UNC, along with a cash prize of Rs 1 lakh on each of them, the All Manipur Christian Organisation has stated that this development could prove to be a hurdle to the efforts to arrive at an amicable solution to the present impasse.

Talking to The Sangai Express from Kohima today evening, president of AMCO, Rev Prim, who is leading a seven member team of AMCO said that through the Nagaland Baptist Church Convention, they were able to meet and talk things over with the NSF and Naga Mothers' Association.

The two organisations were amenable to suggestion of lifting the ban on Manipur vehicles in Nagaland, said Rev Prim, but added that the latest development, that is the 'Wanted tag' announcement, could prove to be a hurdle in working out a solution.

The NSF explained that since ANSAM is its federating unit, it would not look right to retract from its stand at this moment, when the Government of Manipur has declared them as absconders and announced a cash prize of Rs 1 lakh each, to anyone who can provide information leading to their arrest.

Hence the appeal to repeal the Wanted tag, he added.
