Senapati, August 30 (NNN): The All Naga Students' Association, Manipur (ANSAM) has accused the Manipur Government of insincerity and lacking political will and courage.

In a late night exclusive interview with Newmai News Network ANSAM president Paulring Langhu and its general secretary Robert T Maram said that today the ANSAM delegation went to meet the Chief Minister and his team at the Army headquarter at Leimakhong with the hope that the State Government would not compel the ANSAM to once again seek extreme measures for redressal.

The student leader said that they met the Chief Minister and his team at 2 pm.

The Naga student leaders stated ANSAM came forward to explore all peaceful means to resolve the impasse in which Nagas and other ethnic communities can exist with mutual respect and understanding.

They further stated that ANSAM had made it clear that the aspirations and rights of various communities and people must be recognised and respected and therefore considered the declaration of June-18 as State integrity day a direct affront to the aspirations of the Naga people.

The student leaders then said, however, the Chief Ministers inability to sit through the talks for the full session manifest his (CM) insincerity and his lack of commitment and also lacks political will to resolve the impasse.

The ANSAM leaders further stated that it did not holds responsible for the inconclusive talks.
