Mention may be made that KNF and UKLF prohibited poll related activities of two candidates who contested from the Outer Manipur Parliamentary Constituency while the UNLF had imposed a total ban on all forms of political programmes for the two phased poll - one of which held on April 20 and was marred by disturbances.

The KYKL had also put a stop to the activities of the BJP, demanding ouster of its president Th Chaoba Singh who is in the fray in the Inner seat that will go to polls on April 26.As reported earlier the State unit of the BJP had already intimated the matter to the party higher-ups while the CPI's election campaign committee L Sotinkumar disclosed that central leaders are being updated on threats of the underground outfits and overall political scenario in the State.

Talking to The Sangai Express Sotinkumar said while party leaders' reply on the matter are still being awaited the UG diktats had completely derailed poll preparations of the State CPI.

He also informed that television talks on the present political situation presented by him would be telecast in DDK Imphal tomorrow evening.

On the-other hand, the Congress party has also highlighted the issue to the AICC leaders, said party sources.

However, efforts to extract Comments on the matter from the party's election campaign committee did not yield positive result.

Meanwhile, an FPM member stated that no decision on the threat of the underground outfits has so far been taken by the party.
