Imphal, Aug 19: The grenade attack on August 16 at ISKCON complex killing five persons and injuring many others was in no way related to the Kangleipak Communist Party, said a press hand out signed by Lamphel Luwangcha for and on behalf of ACC, KCP.

It noted that such attack in public places intentionally or by mistake is not new in the State while cautioning the people against the diabolic design of the Govt of India and its intelligence agencies.

The statement alleged that the Govt of India and its armed forces have been indulging in murder and oppression with an evil intention to exterminate indigenous people of the NE region.

It also mentioned of the fast unto death stir of Sharmila Chanu following the cold blooded murder of 10 innocent civilians at Malom by central security forces adding that there are numerous cases of State terrorism perpetrated in Manipur under the patronage of the Govt of India which are known to every individual of the State.

As such, the presence of Govt of India's hand in the ISKCON strike can't be ruled out for there were many foreigners at the temple thereby providing a perfect opportunity to paint the revolutionary groups of the State as terrorists in international media.

Taking advantage of the large number of UG groups operating the State, the Indian intelligence agents might have perpetrated the devilish act with the notion that the blame can be heaped on any one of the numerous UG groups, doubted the outfit.

It also condemned such irrational and uncivilized activities in the strongest term adding that KCP never support such activities.

Stating that the outfit always view all religions with the same eye, it declared that KCP would never indulge in religious discrimination.

It asserted that the outfit would face any malicious campaign or propaganda to include the name of the outfit for the August 16 blast.

Observing that violence against different religious affiliation is a big impediment to the struggle for unity among peoples following different religions having the same culture and tradition and is a big blot to the liberation struggle, KCP appealed to all concerned not to repeat such shocking incidents in the future history of the nation.
