Imphal, July 10: While the public are concerned over their possible abduction, 11-year old Angom Langamba alias Abungo alias Bange, a student of Paree Imom Sindam Sang, Langjing and his friend 13-year old Yengkhom Naobi, a student of St Peter School have 'shockingly' revealed that they had left home on their own volition to join PREPAK.

Parading them before mediapersons somewhere in the valley area today, commander of PREPAK Cobra Task Force Bobby Mangang clarified that there is no question of kidnapping or forcing them to join the outfit.

They came to the PREPAK Cobra Task Force on their own volition and they would be sent to general headquarters of the outfit for imparting military training Talking to mediapersons, the two kids said that they have not been abducted or forced by anybody.

But came on their own to join PREPAK as they like to take part in waging war.

To a question asked by mediapersons, they informed that in order to join PREPAK, they first contacted one Soroikhaibam Gam of Iroisemba Lourembam Leikai who hand them over to Mutum Thakur of Lamdeng Makha Leikai.

But as Thakur was trying to force them to join some other outfit other than PREPAK, they escaped and finally contacted PREPAK cadres and come to their custody.

The two kids also clarified that there is no instances of ill-treatment in their families, though Langamba mentioned that his maternal grandmother had once scolded him asking to go away.

Lastly, they appealed to the local Meira Paibis and other civil organisations not to organise protest demonstration and appeal for their release as they have not been abducted.
