Imphal, October 08: Coming down heavily on the Congress led SPF Government under O Ibobi Singh for releasing the NSCN (I-M) leaders, All Manipur Students' Union (AMSU) has accused all the Ministers of being hand in glove with the Naga rebel group in trying to disintegrate Manipur.

In a strongly worded statement, information and publicity secretary of the student body, Khamba Laishram, said that the decision of the State Cabinet to give free passage to the captured NSCN (I-M) leaders has confirmed the fear of the people of Manipur that they cannot rely any more on the present Ministry on territorial issue.

Making a mockery of the Chief Minister O Ibobi Singh's assertion during public function recently that he would not even part with a piece of the land, AMSU said that the decision of the Government to release the IM cadres amount to bartering away the territory of the State.

(This is the second time the Government has bowed itself in front of the Naga rebel group (the first instance being the Pallel incident) and AMSU and the people of Manipur really feel ashamed of it, the statement said, adding that both the instances have also down the morale of the State police forces.

Accusing the Government of belittling the sacrifices of 18 precious lives for the sake of safeguarding the territorial integrity of Manipur and disregarding the resolutions of the State Assembly for protecting the State's boundary, the statement said that the people of the State would never condone the present Ministry for playing with their sentiments.
