Imphal, April 02: To leave no stone unturned in its effort for the success of party candidate in the forthcoming Lok Sabha election, Communist Party of India, Manipur State Council have started house-to-house election campaign in the Inner Manipur Parliamentary Constituency.

Out of the 911 polling stations located within the Constituency, party workers along with women and student activists of the local area concerned conducted the campaign in 90 polling stations on the first day today, secretary of the party's election campaign committee L Sotinkumar informed.

During the campaign, the campaigners stressed on the need for a united fight against the divisive forces at play in the society and defeat the design of the BJP-led NDA Govt to divide the people on communal lines for a peaceful and prosperous Manipuri society as well as to protect the territorial integrity of the State, he said.

Meanwhile, another party release informed that a series of public meting would be organised by the party's women workers tomorrow in Khundrakpam Constituency.
