Imphal, May 06 2010: State unit BJP has decried the conduct of Union Home Minister P Chidambaram in giving approval to the proposed visit of NSCN (IM) general secretary Th Muivah to Manipur despite knowing the intention of Muivah to disintegrate Manipur.

Condemning the conduct of the Union Home Minister, the State unit BJP has also demanded roll back of the approval given.

A joint meeting of the office bearers and political affairs committee of the party was held at its office here today to discuss the issue and the prevailing situation in Manipur.

Talking to mediapersons after the meeting, State unit BJP president Sh Shantikumar said his party looks at the conduct of the Union Home Minister who not only gave permission for the proposed visit of Muivah to Manipur but also communicated to the Government of Manipur to arrange Zcategory security for Muivah as a challenge to the people of Manipur.

In case Muivah enters into Manipur in violation of the ceasefire ground rules, security forces should arrest him and award necessary punishment in accordance to the law of the land, Shantikumar said.
