An emergency meeting of the Working Committee of MPP today has adopted a resolution in this regard.

O Joy has been boycotting the Assembly session in protest against the alleged failure of the Speaker to take a definite decision of the seven Naga Independent MLAs who tendered their resignation over the State Government's decision to bar the entry of NSCN (IM) general secretary Th Muivah to Manipur as well as the Mao Gate incident of May 6 .

After a thorough discussion on all these issues, the meeting adopted three resolutions, Dr Nimaichand informed.

He explained that the first resolution expressed strong reservation against the failure of the Assembly Speaker to take a decision on the resignation of seven Naga Independent MLAs.

tendered to protest the decision of the State Government to ban the entry of Muivah to Manipur.

This has created apprehension whether the Speaker and the SPF Government are against the territorial integrity of Manipur.

In the second resolution, the MPP has demanded that Speaker Dr S Budhichandra should make known his decision on the issue to the public during the course of the ongoing Assembly session, Dr Nimaichand said.

He further said that as boycott of Assembly session over the issue has not served the interest of the people of Manipur in view of the current situation like price rises and shortage of essential goods, the third resolution decided that MLA O Joy will start attending the session from tomorrow to raise the current issues facing Manipur The resolution of the party's Working Committee will be brought to the notice of O Joy, Dr Nimaichand added.
