Ukhrul ready to roll out red carpet for Muivah

Ukhrul, May 14 2010: Despite the firm stand taken by the State Government to ban the proposed visit of Th Muivah to his birth place, Ukhrul district and its headquarters have geared up to receive the rebel leader.

Welcome gates have been erected in every nook and corner of the town to roll out the red carpet for the NSCN (IM) leader.

Interacting with 'The Sangai Express,' convener of Tangkhul Reception Committee (TRC), formed to arrange the necessary things to receive the rebel leader, said that everything is ready to accord a befitting reception to Th Muivah.

Maintaining the proposed and re-firmed stand of Th Muivah to visit his birth place will be a historic tour and a step forward peace, he said that the coming together as one people with representatives from Nagaland is a testimony of the idea Naga Nationhood taking firm roots.
