Imphal, September 08, 2010:: The All Tribal Disabled Union, Manipur (ATDUM) has expressed apprehension that the Government and officials concerned may have been involved in favouritism and fraudulence in the entire process of recruiting Primary Teachers in six Autonomous District Councils.

A press release issued by its President Momo Tantanga said that the association has sought information through the RTI on the total list of selected/appointed candidates of Primary Teachers in the six ADCs by submitting an application on June 7 last.

Another application seeking information on answer sheets/papers of the written test of PWDs was also submitted on June 29, it added.

The press release further said that however, the Under Secretary (Hills)/SPIO Government of Manipur has till date failed to provide the relevant documents within the stipulated 30 days.

Manipur Information Commission therefore extended another 10 days for furnishing information to Under Secretary (Hills)/SPIO Government of Manipur, it added.

As these 10 days have also already expired, the State Chief Information Commissioner has fixed September 14 as the date of hearing between Association President Momo Tantanga and Under Secretary Hills/SPIO Government of Manipur regarding the matter.
