Imphal, December 04: A hand grenade was hurled by some unidentified persons at the rear of a Maruti car (MN 01K-8060) parked in front of the house of one Gurumayum Arun on New Checkon road at about 4 am today.

In the grenade explosion, the rear wheel tyres of the car got punctured and window glasses were partially damaged.

Owner of the car G Arun is a dealing clerk in Thoubal Treasury office.

It is reported that the two unidentified persons who hurled the grenade came on a Honda Activa.
