Imphal, October 13: Expressing deep concern over the intrusion of NSCN (IM) cadres inside Manipur, CPI Manipur State Council has warned the Govt of India to prevent their movements inside Manipur as the Cease Fire agreement between the GoI and the NSCN (IM) is not applicable in the State, informed the party's State Secretary B Sharma.

Talking to mediapersons today, B Sharma contended that lack of transparency in the GoI-NSCN (IM) peace talks have made the people of Manipur restive and agitated as it had created apprehension among the masses that certain parts of Manipur would be sacrificed during the peace talks.

He also said that the BJP led NDA Govt at the centre should bear the responsibility for any untoward incident that may occur while agitating against the dismemberment of the State.

Welcoming the GoI-NSCN (IM) peace talks, he said that CPI Manipur State Council would work for safeguarding the State's territorial integrity keeping in mind the interest of the all sections of the people residing in the State.

He also appealed to the people to abstain from shouting any slogans or committing any acts that would harm other communities.
