Imphal, October 06, 2009: Minister of Sports & Youth Affairs and IFCD, N Biren, who is also spokesman of the SPF government, has said that a committee comprising Ukhrul DC, SDO and other top officials will be sent to Jessami to look into the reports that Nagaland Armed Police has set up its out post on Manipur's soil.

"Though the state government is not in receipt of any official information about the setting up of NAP outpost on the Manipur side of the Manipur-Nagaland border, the state government has seriously viewed the news reports accompanied by photographic evidence," the SPF government spokesman told reporters here today.

Accordingly, the Chief Minister has chaired a high level meeting of the government officials today on the matter, N Biren said.

He added, the Chief Secretary has been informed to institute a committee and submit an accurate report on the matter as soon as possible.

The Committee will include DC of Ukhrul district, SDOs and other top government officials, he said.

N Biren further said that other areas of the state bordering Myanmar and other states will be kept intact.

The matter will be thrashed out at the Home Ministry level.
