Imphal, August 28 2009: Some women activists who intended to call on Governor Gurbachan Jagat to get information if there is any development /response with regard to the memorandum submitted by the apunba Lup came out of Raj Bhawan after securing a date for another meeting, as the Governor was out of station.

Anxious on knowing the status of the representation which apunba Lup handed to the Governor earlier this month, some womenfolk showed up at the Raj Bhwvan Gate today.

However, as the Governor was not available, a brief meeting ensued between five women delegates and Secretary to the governor Dr RK Nimai Singh, after which a meeting appointment was finalised for August 31 morning.
