Imphal, July 06: The Part Time Lecturers' Assn of Govt Colleges (PLAGC), Manipur has congratulated L Jayentakumar on being inducted into the Council of Ministers as the Education Minister.

In a statement, the part timers said that it hopes and expects that the new Minister will not only address the problems facing the Education Deptt but will also seriously view the issues of the part timers to bring a lasting solution.

The part timers have also strongly condemned the acts of burning down Govt schools in three hill districts.

The acts should be condemned by all, it said and added that thousands of students have been deprived of their place of learning.

The PLAGC also expressed its gratitude to the Education Minister for the prompt response to rebuild the destroyed school buildings before the end of the Summer vacation.
