Imphal, Jul 24: Concerned with the public unrest following the reported assurance given by the Union Human Resource Development Minister Arjun Singh to a group of NSF leaders for affiliation of private schools in the four hill districts of Manipur to NBSE as reported in the Telegraph (Guwahati, July 23), the United Committee Manipur has sent a presentation to the Prime Minister seeking immediate clarification on the matter.

It mentioned that the news report has whipped public resentment in Manipur.

It asked the Prime Minister not to politicise education in the region.
