Students meet Governor

Police blocked the students before reaching the Raj Bhavan and allowed only three of them to enter the Raj Bhavan and submit the memorandum drawing the attention of the governor to find a means to able to attend classes.
They complaint the Governor that due to prolong imposition of curfew imposed by the government authorities, schools and colleges are remaining closed for the last around two weeks.
This had greatly affected to the study of the students.
The three representatives told reporter after meeting with the Governor that he would try his best to address the grievances of the students in case their study has been disturbed by the curfew imposed by the government.
However, the students representatives were told that he cannot intervene on disturbances to the study by the bandh and strike as these types of stirs are called by the civil bodies and other, they added.
The Governor heard patiently to the urge of the students and assured that he will asked the state authority for lifting the curfew.

Hundreds of students Monday stormed the Imphal Raj Bhavan to submit a memorandum drawing the attention of the Governor in addressing the problems unable to attend classes due to the curfew, general strikes frequently witnessing in the state.
For the last around one month, conducts of normal classes in schools and colleges are disturbing due to closure of the institutions owing the frequent general strikes and curfew and this has greatly affected to the academic calendar, students lamented.
