Imphal, August 11: NNC, NSCN (IM) and NSCN (K) of Zeliangrong region signed an agreement to cease putting armed operations against one another to maintain peace in the region on July 18 last at Puiluan village of Tamenglong district, informed a press statement of Zeliangrong Elders' Forum of Peace Brokers.

Maintaining that Zeliangrong region is one of the most affected regions due to factional clashes, the forum said that it was formed on November 4, 2006 with the initiation of Zeliangrong Union (AMN) to facilitate talks among the factions in the region.

Recalling the legends of Chuksu-Garoumei and Hao Makaam, the forum exhorted the 'Naga National Workers' of the region to shun hatred and hostility among them.

The forum also urged the peace lovers to support the peace agreement signed by the three outfits of the region.
